Chalet Conca details
Lovingly built and beautifully furnished, an ideal and special chalet for families who love the mountains, Chalet Conca, available to book directly with the owner, is a wonderful 4/5 bedroom property. Sitting 350 metres down a municipal lane, the chalet is very private yet only 2.7 kilometres from the ski lifts of Megeve and St Gervais.
The lane is snow cleared each day during the winter and nestles within its own large private garden, appealing to those groups who enjoy their privacy and the peace and quietness that this rural habitat enjoys. The garden is entirely fenced so is perfect and safe for those with young children.
Upon entering the chalet you will immediately appreciate the quality of the construction and the architectural appeal of the property. It’s clear that this isn’t just a ski rental chalet – it’s a family home. Local wood and stone accent the stunning art originals on the walls and the owner’s ‘no expense spared’ attitude permeates through the quality of the furnishing and the materials used in all parts of the property. Don’t confuse this with ostentatiousness though. This is a luxurious, cosy, comfortable and relaxing place. Just a great place ‘to be’.
The chalet possesses 2 living rooms making it perfect for families with older children who enjoy their own space. The first of which, with UK TV with DVD making the perfect ‘movie’ space, is off the entrance hall. This ground floor is also home to the first of the bedrooms, which can be set as a double or 2 singles, and its en-suite shower room.
Heading upstairs you’ll find the large open plan lounge, dining area and kitchen. This is where you’ll spend much of your relaxation time and wow, what a space. A welcoming fireplace, sumptuous sofas, beautiful furnishings and original art on the walls make this a gorgeous environment. Whether listening to music on the sound system, watching TV, discussing the days exploits, cooking in the kitchen (granite work surfaces naturally, 2 ovens, large induction hob) or just kicking back and enjoying the views from the patio doors or the windows that line 3 of the 4 aspects of this room, you’re in the perfect spot.
The remaining bedrooms are to be found on the top floor. Firstly the main double, with built in wardrobes, en-suite bathroom with separate shower, steam room and toilet. Then there’s the second double, again with its own en- suite bathroom and a separate toilet.
The last of the bedrooms share a shower room and toilet, with the fifth bedroom being accessed via the fourth. Please note that this fourth bedroom, a twin bedroom, is recommended only for children as there is no door to separate this room from the rest of the chalet. You walk through this room to access the fifth bedroom, which can be arranged as either a double or two singles.
“I have stayed at Chalet Conca on numerous occasions and it is a supremely comfortable chalet where every detail, however small, has been attentively thought of. It is extremely luxurious and yet cosy at the same time and has a wonderful energy. The whole chalet is made of wood inside and out and this gives it a wonderfully relaxing feel. The tranquillity of the surrounding woods and fields makes it an ideal haven for anyone wanting to really relax and take time out from the hubbub of city living, or for anyone who wants to enjoy the many challenging ski runs in Megeve or Saint Gervais (5 minutes car ride). The chalet really is a home from home you'll find everything that you might possibly need. An armchair looking out to the woods to read or sew in, a steam room in the Master bathroom, heated garage, the list goes on…. Anyone wanting to enjoy the delights of mountain living in a supremely comfortable home, look no further.”
