It's not just outstanding accommodation that makes a holiday. It's the environment, the atmosphere and the experience. Located in the French northern Alps and situated at the foot of Mont Blanc, St Gervais Les Bains enjoys stunning scenery and a wide variety of things to do. Just an hour’s hassle free drive from Geneva airport it makes the perfect holiday destination whatever the time of year.
Saint Gervais Les Bains is a beautiful savoyard village with a family friendly atmosphere. The town is a working French town rather than a resort, so has retained its ‘frenchness’ whilst still being very welcoming to visitors. It’s maybe this that makes it such a family friendly place. The lack of seasonnaires scene and late night clubs ensures that the area doesn’t appeal to groups of 20 somethings. That’s not to say that the town is dead in the evenings , far from it. It’s just that its bars and restaurants and more suited to families than stag and hen do’s.
Saint Gervais is home to Europe's highest mountain, Mont Blanc, and has been a popular holiday destination for over a hundred years. There are a number of shops, supermarkets, bars and restaurants and every Thursday morning there is a market and the village's main square is a hive of activity. The towns of Megeve and Chamonix are just a 20 minute drive away should you wish to explore a little further.
